Artist Vision

Each piece I paint represents an exploration of the natural world.  I am enjoying studying colour, light, form and composition within nature.  I am inspired by my travels through North America and Europe, from Alaska to Iceland.  I am concentrating on high realism at this point of my career and loving painting in oil because of its brilliance and smoothness.

Bio

Denise Collins is a Canadian artist based in Thamesford, Ontario, whose work explores the dynamic relationship between colour, form, and emotion across multiple mediums. Through fluid acrylic painting, she embraces movement and spontaneity, allowing colour and form to interact in energetic and expressive ways. Her abstract alcohol ink pieces capture the imagination with their luminous layers and organic flow, inviting viewers into richly textured, dreamlike spaces. Complementing this abstract work, Denise also captures the quiet beauty of nature through oil painting, translating moments of landscape and wildlife into timeless, evocative compositions. Together, her diverse practices reflect a deep connection to both the natural world and the limitless possibilities of creative expression.
