Each painting I create is an exploration of the beauty, character, and emotion found in the natural world. Through every piece, I continue to study the interplay of colour, light, form, and composition, striving to capture not only what I see, but what I feel in each moment.

My inspiration comes from my travels throughout North America and Europe—from the rugged wilderness of Alaska to the dramatic landscapes of Iceland—where unforgettable encounters with wildlife and nature have shaped my artistic perspective.

At this stage of my artistic journey, I am dedicated to creating realistic oil paintings. I am continually drawn to the richness, luminosity, and subtle blending qualities of oil, which allow me to express depth, atmosphere, and the quiet beauty of the natural world. With every painting, my goal is to invite viewers to pause, reflect, and experience a meaningful connection with nature through my work.

Denise Collins is a Canadian artist based in Thamesford, Ontario, whose work celebrates the expressive relationship between colour, form, and the natural world. Working across multiple mediums, she is continually inspired by the endless possibilities of artistic exploration.

Through fluid acrylic painting, Denise embraces movement and spontaneity, allowing vibrant colour and dynamic form to create energetic, expressive compositions. Her abstract alcohol ink works captivate the imagination with luminous layers, organic movement, and rich textures that invite viewers into dreamlike spaces of reflection and discovery.

Balancing her abstract practice, Denise's oil paintings capture the quiet beauty and enduring spirit of nature. From intimate wildlife portraits to sweeping Canadian landscapes, her work reflects a deep appreciation for the emotion, wonder, and tranquility found in the natural world.
